CrewCam is a multi-camera live production app developed by Brian Lewis. This policy describes how CrewCam handles your information.
CrewCam does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on external servers. There is no analytics, no telemetry, and no user tracking of any kind. The app has no backend server.
CrewCam stores the following data locally on your device:
All of this data stays on your device and is never transmitted to any server operated by the developer.
CrewCam requires access to the camera and microphone to function as a video production tool. Video and audio are captured, encoded, and either stored locally or transmitted over your local network to other CrewCam devices (iPad hub and iPhone cameras) for multi-camera recording.
CrewCam uses your local Wi-Fi network to connect iPhone cameras to the iPad hub for real-time video streaming, audio mixing, and synchronized recording. No data leaves your local network unless you explicitly enable YouTube streaming.
CrewCam optionally integrates with YouTube Live for live streaming. When you choose to sign in with your Google account:
You can revoke CrewCam's access to your YouTube account at any time via your Google Account permissions.
CrewCam includes an optional feature to upload recordings to a user-configured server endpoint. This feature is entirely opt-in, and the server address is specified by the user. No uploads occur unless the user explicitly configures an endpoint and initiates an upload.
CrewCam does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only third-party integration is the optional YouTube Live streaming feature described above.
CrewCam is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from children.
This privacy policy may be updated to reflect changes in the app. The effective date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised.
